I took down a whole (small) tree with this. I was able to cut through 2 inch diameter branches with no problem. I didn't think the retractable arms would matter, but I did use it to trim my taller trees and now I only want one like this. I'm so glad I bought this as it will continue to come in handy.

I did not expect these to be top of the line, but wanted something that I could pack around with me for forestry work. They are light weight and still sharp after a few weeks of me being really hard on them.

As advertised. I've used these loopers for a few weeks to help me clear brush. I've used them with the handle extensions closed. They cut limbs as thick as shown here and I've applied a lot of force in doing so without any fear of breaking the tool or deforming the cutting head. Nice.

Don’t waste your money! Something from a local store will last longer then this and cost half as much. I stuck to the recommended size and did not even try it on larger branches yet it still broke half way down the hook where the blade rests when closed. Less then four hours over two days of use and it turns into a projectile weapon. My nine year old was with me and it terrifies me that he may have been injured. This devise will hurt someone some day. I have bought several loppers over the years that have fallen apart after hard usage but never in such a dangerous way. Please don’t buy. Bad design.

I purchased these branch clippers because I found others too big and awkward. I was not expecting a lot, but they are perfect! I really like the extendable handles, which enable me to reach higher branches. They are not too heavy either, so when I'm reaching higher up I don't lose my balance. I've used them to prune several mature fruit trees, as well as a beech tree. I'm very glad that I bought these instead of a bigger, more expensive brand.
