I used these to hang my toolbags in the basement stairway, they are strong enough and don't stick out too far.

These are very similar to the gray hooks that are sold at a big orange store that sells tools, but they are significantly less money. I will say that these are not quite as thick or heavy as those, but I really like the all black aesthetic of these and they still seem to hold very well. I have used several in concrete, as well as screwed into wood to hold tools and other items in my garage, and have had no bending issues or problems with them holding the weight.

These hooks are well made and are of various commonly used sizes. I have them holding various items in my garage, such as lawn chairs (in their bags), tennis rackets, yoga mats, etc.I have had no issues with them at all, and the rubber coating on them protects your stuff. I highly recommended them.

The hooks are strong and lightweight. I'm only using them for organizing a bunch of backpacks but I'm sure they could handle much more weight. I like that the U shape is wide to accommodate larger items. It's nice that this includes a set of screws and anchors, but they included the wrong type of screw, these are flat head and as you can see in the photos, they don't sit flush with the face of the hook. The exposed part of the screw can scratch you or the item you're hanging. They should have included round head screws.

There is not a lot to wax poetic about when it comes to utility hooks. These are good heavy-duty hooks for a very reasonable price. Just over a dollar a hook is pretty good. They come with mounting hardware, which is nice, though I'm not sure I would want to hang anything heavy on a hook that is attached just to dry-wall. If you plan to hang anything as heavy as the 40 pound rating, you're going to want to find your studs and get some longer screws. It is interesting that the picture that they show with the items hung up shows a masonry wall, and the bit shown in the "easy to install" picture is a masonry drill bit.

These hooks are extremely useful in helping me organize my garage. In terms of mounting, you will likely want them in something strong, not just drywall. Directly into a wall stud, or perhaps into a wood backing that is attached to the studs, such as a length of 2x4 running horizontally and screwed into 3 or 4 studs. While I think these probably could easily handle more than the stated 40 pounds, I just don't really have any items anywhere near so heavy that's I'd want to hang up like this. Anyway, at this price and quality, they're a no brainer. When I need more, I'll get these exact ones.
