We set to install some new 1/2 window length curtains in a room we were mildly remodeling. Didn't want the current trend of round curtain rods, the old style flat rods would be just fine for this little project.Bought the curtains at a Fred Meyer, so we bought the the curtain rods there, too. The Fred Meyer curtain rods can't hold any weight, they twist and bend like wet shaghetti. Seriously doubt they would support a set of sheers. Tried Lowes', Home Depot, etc., all the same. Aargh!Searched Amazon for heavy duty, flat style curtain rods. Came across Kirsch Superduty brand, ordered a set and had memories of the old days when things were made with quality and company pride.If you need a set of strong, well made flat curtain rods that will actually hold the weight of a set of curtains without twisting into a pretzel, Kirsch is the brand you want.

Arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Not exactly sure what "heavy duty" means for this type of hanger, as nothing too heavy should be hung from it, but for our need - valance - the unit worked perfectly well.

The thing comes in three pieces per rod. Why? It's a mystery but it causes them to be more complicated and sag in the middle.Then there is the issue with the screws being soft and stripping so easily which, btw, are the wrong size for the brackets.Next, there were only six drywall anchors. Do the math.Then there is the sharp end of the rod that like to have laid my thumb open.These are going directly into the trash.Summary; I would not take these if they were given to me.Recommend you purchase something else.

My teen needed curtains hung and the previous rods were bent. It took me less than 10 minutes to unscrew the old hardware and install the new hardware/hang the curtain panels. The rods are durable and the price for a two-pack was great! Will order these again when I need to replace other rods in other rooms!

Bought the 28-48 2-pack and when put together, it only reached 44 inches. I was able to overcome by using the middle piece from the second rod, so essentially I only received one rod. That means I’m using 4 pieces for a 48 inch curtain rod, which seems rather excessive. However, now that it’s up, it’s working perfectly and I’m happy to have my curtains up.

These rods were very inexpensive but we just needed a rod to hold a curtain and they certainly did that. They weren’t flimsy. They worked fine. For the price and not being flimsy they get five stars. .
