  • It is primarily used with a tripod and allows for even heating from any direction.

  • The mesh measures 1/4" with 2mm diameter wire.


This replacement heavy duty mesh screen measures 6 inches x 6 inches. It is primarily used with a tripod and allows for even heating from any direction. It can be used over an alcohol lamp, Bunsen burner, or with a torch. It is used for soldering brazing,heating, enameling and other repair work. The mesh measures 1/4" with 2mm diameter wire. Screen is sold individually, tripod sold separately.

I use this on top of a metal tripod for torch enameling metals. Far better than the mesh that originally came with my tripod. Torch enameling requires quite a bit of heat and the old mesh burned right through after less than 6 months of fairly light use. I find I'm enameling more often now that I have a more reliable and heavy mesh to use.

This heavy guage mesh is so much better than the thin mesh that came with my stand. Wish I had upgraded a long time ago.

This is some heavy gauge mesh which is exactly what I needed for my soldering board. This little treasure here holds a lot of heat which is excellent for getting that heat underneath my jewelry pieces when soldering. Shipping was fast. Highly recommend this vendor and this item

While not its intended purpose, this screen is perfect for putting over the burner of our camp stove. Now we can use our smaller pots and even enjoy the decadence of an espresso maker in the middle of nowhere.

I'm assuming that it will long outlast the thinner screens. It is pricy for a small piece of screen.
