I use these to clamp off small water lines many times a day. And when I need to, I can use the built-in scissors to cut the tubing. Let a co-worker use them once and he loved them so much he bought a bunch for himself. The forward placement of the pivot point allows for maximum pressure with a small clamping area (in comparison, the clamps provided at work look more like scissors with a pivot point near the handle, and a large area for clamping, this means it has to be placed further up in the clamping area to achieve maximum pressure, which can be difficult in tight spaces).

Didn’t check the sizing so came out too small for my dermal piercing BUT still does the job. Comes in very handy and I love the color!

I use this to assist with paper piecing quilting. The jaws do not come together completely until all the ratchets are closed. I am a surgical nurse and am used to medical grade equipment. The instrument works okay and cuts well. The jaws should meet without having to close the ratchets.
