Wick is heavy on wax and probably best used for candle making rather than as a wick for smoking. Although it did work for my purpose, I will likely purchase a less waxy product in the future.

There is 200 feet of organic hemp wick in this roll. It is easy to cut and use in jars, or to make dip candles from beeswax. The wicks burn evenly in candles.

I recieved this today and just tested it. The burn time is average and it burns clean which is important. It has a very light fragrance. The wick is a little thin and well coated with the beeswax. I really appreciate the clean burn.

I just started making candles recently. I bought this to continue making and learning more about making candles.I like that this roll came in its own box. Easy to store and find. The wick itself is well coated with beeswax. I can feel it with my fingers. It has a light pleasant fragrance of beeswax as well. I made a couple of candles with it. I used white beeswax and was concerned that the brown wick might look strange but I actually like the look. The wicks burn well and do not leave a lot of soot. I did not use any fragrance oils in my candle and all I noticed was a very light fragrance of beeswax. I do not know if that is because the candles are made of pure beeswax or because of the beeswax on the wick though.I am please with this - It is clearly of good quality, the length of 200ft will allow me to make many more candles, it burns well without smoke and it burns slowly, which is clearly because of the good wax coating. Everything one needs in a good wick.

I have priced other wick material in the past and found that it seemed expensive. This wick is surprisingly affordable! Especially being organic hemp and beeswax! I am looking forward to using this for a long time into the future. If you used 9" of wick for each candle this would made 266 candles! Not bad.I have only made one candle with this so far and this wick didn't work well for the specific application. I used it to make a tallow candle (rendered from a beef roast) and it doesn't burn the tallow fast enough to keep the flame from eventually being drowned. I don't blame the wick for this though but rather my inexperience with tallow candles. To be fair, the tallow burned the same with a completely different wick. Maybe it needs more wicks to burn faster. Regardless, this doesn't change my positive review of the product.

I always love using beeswax hemp wicks for any case in which I might need to re-ignite a fire. It's also ideal for minding the temperature of your flame, if for any reason you want to make sure that the material you're burning is kept at a controlled temp that a butane lighter or torch might be too powerful for.
