Not a traditional laminar flowhood, more a clean room fan system, that being said it will serve the purpose. And for the money, unit looks great, couple latches were a bit janky but easily fixed. I have yet to attempt sterile work in front of it yet, but others claim it's all good!

This is a terrible product, and I wouldn't buy it again, it keeps shutting off because the motor gets too hot. It will kick back on but terrible for any kind of lab or mycology work.

I would rate this a 3.7 out of 5 stars (if possible). The unit is high quality, but the filter arrived slightly damaged, likely due to careless UPS delivery. I can't repackage such a large flow hood for a return, so I'll keep it as is. It effectively extinguishes a lit lighter, proving its impressive power. Despite some shipping issues, I prefer it over other options. Once I use it enough, I'll get a new filter and hope it won't be damaged.

Arrived with a damaged filter and multiple broken filter retainer clips. It'll probably function for now but I doubt it'll have the same lifespan as an undamaged one.
