We use this with our 5 month old son who is teething. He doesn't like the taste, it is a very strong clove taste, and turns red and slobbers like crazy the first minute or two after application. However, within 15 minutes, he goes from a fussy little man who can't keep his fingers out of his mouth, to a content baby who can now sleep. I tried the oil myself, and it is spicy, but not hot, if that makes sense. I don't care for the taste either, but I don't feel bad giving it to my children (have used it with my 18 month old as well), no matter how bad a face they make. Very few medicines taste great, but when it helps, it's worth it in my opinion. I don't give this to him all the time, mostly when nothing else (nursing, baby wearing, chewing on a wet rag etc) will pacify him, and before bedtime if he's been struggling. We used Baby Orajel with my first son, and he hated that taste too, plus, now that we know that anyone can develop a sudden allergic reaction to some of the ingredients in orajel that can cause breathing problems, we're very happy to have this wonderful alternative. Hylands never has worked for us, so this is a great find for us.

My 6 month old recently had bad teething symptoms. He would wake up at nights screaming with pain no matter what we did. Although I didnt want to, I had to give him a dose of baby motrin every night for a week because nothing else calmed him. I remembered I ordered this when he was 3 months old and put it away. So only 3 nights ago I started using it before bed or if he wakes up at night. Has not failed me once yet! Instead of my son waking up every 2 hours or so with pain, he now only wakes once a night or none at all. I tried it on myself and wow this thing is potent. So make sure when you give to your child that they don't get it on their hands and then rub their face with it because it will burn. I rub 2 drops directly on his gums with my finger and then put a drop around his pacifier before I give it to him. I then cuddle him for a few minute until he's out like a light. Works like a charm. The taste is not pleasing at all but my son makes a face when tasting it and then accepts it.

Happy baby and happy mom!Tastes awful but my baby got used to the flavor and really helps with his teething discomfort.We used everything in the market from gels, teething necklaces, frozen fruit, tethers that you can freeze and vibrating ones as well and all of that gave a 20-30 min Max. Comforting sensation but that was it, still had a sleepless baby crying after that.I know it really works and numbs the gums because I was having pain with my wisdom teeth and used a couple drops of this oil and it really helped.Just read the instructions because the flavor can be a little too strong for your baby and clove is a little spicy (I only used 1 drop in my baby and he slept through the night).Is natural and will order some more bottles for my friends that have teething babies.

I had high hopes for this product based on other reviews. Unfortunately, The taste is so strong and gross, my baby screamed his head off every time I tried to put it on him. It has good ingredients and I was really hoping it would help. I have bought other items from this brand and they were wonderful quality. Maybe I can use it when he's older.

So I have to review this because I've bought nearly 7 bottles of this stuff. This works amazingly at night. I nurse my babies to sleep and with this product usually they only need a little bit of milk before going back to sleep. As soon as I notice one of my kids (I've used this with two of my kids) is having trouble falling back asleep I grab the bottle and put a tiny bit of it on my finger and rub it in one quadrant of their mouth. I repeat until I've gotten all four quadrants. My kid will scream. I put them back on the boob and within seconds they are back asleep. Works wonders. If I don't realize they are teething, it will be constant sucking throughout the night and constant waking. The only time it won't work to get them back to sleep is if I take too long finding the bottle and getting it onto their gums. Them they are wide awake... but at least they are a bit numb.I've also tried Punkin Butt teething oil. Don't bother with that stuff. It doesn't numb at all. The kids don't even cry when I put that on them. Gumomile is much much more effective. Yes they initially cry, but it doesn't the job.Now to explain why I deducted stars. The bottle sucks. Literally the amount in this bottle could last you ten kids. But the fact is this bottle is very very easy to open. My babies can open this bottle and it has resulted in many spills ... hence having to buy many bottles of this. I have to keep it nearby and accessible at night so in the morning when they are all chipper and I'm dogged tired, they open up the bottle and pour it all over me. Also the bottle is glass and if dropped on hard flooring it will break. They need to put this in a baby safe bottle.

Worked nicely for my teething baby. She was content for a few hours. I even tried it myself and it made my mouth numb. We stopped using it after we found out my baby is allergic to almonds (main ingredient is almond oil).

Thus is Gods gift to babies. Thank you Jesus 🙠my baby doesn’t like the taste but it works amazingly. If you are wondering if you should buy it - do it. Your baby will thank you !!!! And best part it works almost INSTANTLY

This is amazing for little babies and todlers for teething. It is pre-diluted with carrier oils (Almond) so the clove is not overly strong. I tried it on myself first and the taste is HORRIBLE, but the effects were AMAZING. My 4 month old daughter didn't like the taste either. She cries for about 2-3 min after application, but then is in heaven because her pain is gone. I use a Q-tip and soak in the oil. Then I hold her tongue back with one hand and gently massage her gums with the Q-tip in the other. For really bad cases of teething, I apply once then wait 15 min and apply again. This helps her so much at night to fall asleep. It breaks your heart to see them cry from tooth pain, so this natural product is wonderful to use.
