I had a bunch of old pipe I was using for a point well. The threads on all the pipe were banged up from being moved around. This threader was perfect for chasing the old threads and cutting new ones. I didn’t have the ratchet handle, I just used a couple of pipe wrenches to cut new threads, it all worked out extremely well and considering the price I couldn’t go wrong.

I bought this due to replace my worn out Harbor Frieght one-inch die. This die was hard to slide on the 1†black iron pipe, however after the first few pipes it slide on easier and the snug fit I believe helps with alignment. The threader starts and cut better than the Harbor Frieght die. The only issue is the final tapered thread could be tighter/lower. The fittings screw on and with in a 1/4-1/2†are snug and do not want to go further. I would like a 3/4†of an inch on my fittings. A great buy for $17 dollars.

I took a chance, as I needed to thread the pipes for my pressure washer. This was the perfect size for the ridgid pressure washer wand pipe. Best of all, it works with the ratchet holder I purchased at Harbor Freight Tools.

I did not know that these cutters could be replaced. Thought you had to just waste money and buy a hole new kit.

The engravings it makes are often scratched and broken so you have to clean it after every use.

Anyone in the market for a pipe threader and/or a dye knows these things are crazy expensive. I bought this 3/8 dye super cheap compared to others after searching around for one for a while. After several passes on the threader I most definitely will start hoarding these. J/k but it has done the job I needed it to do. It’s held up so far under minimal use

I bought this as a replacement for a VEVOR Electric Pipe Threader die. Unlike the Aluminum Vevor die this unit is a cast steel holder and way better quality. Had to sand off some paint to get it to fit in the Electric Pipe Threader but once that was don it fits and works great.

It broke right away didn’t make a good thread the teeth in the threader chip even with lots of oil.
