My husband has a passion for bikes and when he saw this little tool he was super excited. It measures things down to very very small increments so you get a very accurate size measurement. It is well made and sturdy, seems like it will last a long time. It is a quite specialized tool, but I think a lot of people could find purposes for it when needing very fine measurements.

This micrometer is pretty accurate considering this is not a digital type but just numbers that roll. I tested it out on a few washers and shims that I have and they're pretty close on the dot. This is well made though because the materials used are pretty solid. I inspected all the parts, and I cannot see any flaw in manufacturing. To maintain it though, I added a thin coat of transmission oil on the exposed metal that are not painted over. That way, those parts would not rust. It's a good buy if you're into manufacturing precision products and you want a gauge that would help you judge what you're trying to create to specifications.

I ordered 2 calipers for 2 different work tables. Neither set worked properly right out of the box. Still struggling to return them. Don't purchase these....

These were nice but I couldn't figure out how to use them. Different from what I used in class. Sent back for a different style.

This broke the 1st day I used it the units went off by like 10units and there is no way to fix it
