Instructions were not included but installation took about 15 minutes including taking the front wheel off my bicycle to install the hub onto the axle. After a little over 100 kilometers (62.5 miles) on the speedometer / odometer I can say that it has held up so far and it is working well. The trip counter resets to zero each time without fail and it is accurate enough for my use. Not sure how long it will last but if it breaks I'll probable buy another one. For anyone preferring mechanical over digital this is a good speedometer option in my view.

Clear casing came cracked and was a bit confusing to install but over all is a very good quality piece to have...would like a replacement face plate so I can put it on the one I have now.

The piece that goes on your axel and transmits the spinning wheel’s energy to the cable was plastic and didn’t take well to the stress of being tightly situated between all the metal wheel-works. Naturally. Because its made of hollow plastic. And so the speedometer didn’t register the right speed at all. The needle would just bounce all over the place, settle on a speed seemingly at random and just bounce around again. So I found that pretty useless. Also the display is all cheap plastic too.I’m not saying I’m 100% sure this couldn’t possibly survive a (very) light duty application, that maybe you have to modify to make it work properly but I think this speedometer is probably among the coolest looking, worst functioning speed-measuring device I’ve ever seen.

This unit works great!Simple to use. Easy to read. Requires no programming or batteries.I have used electronic units with sensors on your spokes. Absolute junk.I seldom write a review. This one deserves credit

First off, i modified it the plastic shell isnt on at all and would fall right off if you dont secure it. So removing that to mod the hud was simply. I lifted it off. I then markered out the logo and things i dont want on it. I used my label maker to print some numbers and put those on the outside. I then put the clear plastic backmon and secured it with a few drops of super glue and went around the outside with electric tape. The tire part needed the little metal arm bent sorta in an s shape with a hook to engage the spokes and the center on the plastic ia a brass washer, so thats nice.Installing on the left or right change the side of that you need to install on.The correct way and everything works (almost)The wrong was and the speedometer will not work and the pedometer will count backwards. The big old CON is that of the two i have one randomly adds hundereds of kilometers tk the tripometer. Itll be easy enough to use my brain as i rarely travel more than 100 kilometers in a trip, but its not perfect.Nothing about this was from the get go, and thus all the little changes i made. But those little changes a prevent me from being able to make an exchange. When i reached out i got rude replies... so i am stuck. Will i buy another, sure its cheap, works mostly, and its not battery powered. So yea. Will i test it first next time before making a load of mods? Absolutely.Running these on motorized bikes, one 49cc rear wheel mount and the other a 212cc trike build.Update 1:I have now purchased 3 of these. One remains a dud, but works otherwise.Inhave increased to two stars.,Update : one broke at the cable. Maybe my fault for having it too tight. No change in stars.Bought yet another to take the cable from and have spare parts for the others.

Easy to install, I put this on our old Schwinn tandem for family rides to keep track of miles. I like that it has an odometer & separate trip meter. I did check it against a GPS & it is about 10 mph off!!!! I know it's inexpensive but was really hoping for better accuracy.

Does the job, pretty accurate! clamp wasint the best, I ended up adding a screw right threw it, can easily be mounted to a better style clamp. in my 80cc beach cruiser build. Went like 1100km so far, she still workin!

And I've got 40 miles on the odometer and it seems to be working fine as easy to install but I don't know how accurate the speed actually is I haven't had a chance to check it but seems to be good as far as it the speed feels like that's how fast you're going, update, this speedo is running about 10mph off. You are going slower than it's reading
