For the price it does what it’s intended to do. I use it on my Cnc machines. No issue.

Works just like it should. Only problem I had is that he maximum opening for the test indicator bar is 5/32 ". My Grandfathers 70 year old test indicator has a 7/32 bar. Solution I grab a 5/32 drill bit and clamped onto its shank. It is relay a cool device.

Very strong and useful tool for supporting the dial indicator. Knobs are large and nylon bushings help to stabilize the whole structure. Heavy aluminum construction on beams, nice finish on all parts. Smooth operation ... I'd buy again if needed.

this wasn't clear in the pictures or description so:the clamp on this only supports a test indicator dovetail or the small shaft, it wont support a 8mm or 3/8 dial indicator shaft.otherwise - as others have said, it doesnt really lock down easily. the plastic washers dont grip well, no matter how tight you make it.

It does the job but one must certainly tighten the screws down hard or the unit will move.

Lots of reviews complain about the thumbscrews not tightening properly. I must have got a good one, as I've not had a problem. My indicator fit straight on and it's very useful, far easier than the setup I had before with the indicator mounted in a spindle collet.
