This tester was easy to use and accurate- I tested some diamonds I knew were fake and real ones, and it worked every time. Don't Forget to take a protective cover off the point like i did at first. Derp.

This diamond tester was surprisingly easy to use, and to the best of my knowledge, it's accurate. I tested the ones I knew for sure were real, and the ones I knew for sure were fakes, and it correctly identified them every time. So, I trust that it does what it claims. However, the build quality leaves something to be desired. It feels lightweight and almost fragile, and I wouldn’t be surprised if one drop rendered it useless. If you’re careful with it, though, it seems to be a solid choice for basic testing.

This diamond tester is a decently priced item that works as it is expected. I originally got this to test some moissanite that I have to make sure it is not CZ, but did not have any diamond items around to confirm it worked, and nothing happened on the original ring I tested. However, over Christmas I was able to use it on my mom's wedding ring, which instantly indicated it was a diamond. In addition, it showed a 7 as expected for the side sapphires. One thing to note, at first I didn't realize that this has a little black cap on it that needs to be removed, which definitely threw me off at the beginning.While I got this for the tester, it also came with a little magnifier which is nice for getting a better look at gems. It isn't the highest quality, but it also is more of an extra and doesn't hurt to have around.

This diamond tester is super lightweight and easy and comfortable to hold in your hands when using. It took me a bit to figure out how to use it properly even after reading the instructions but once I figure it out, it seems to be accurate and work well.
