I slacked on ordering a portable high chair for traveling, and this was the next best thing I could find. (I thought so, anyway.) While the fabric is soft and the idea of using it in place of a high chair could work for some, it just didn't work for my toddler who is not quite two years old yet. He easily swirled the buckle around to where he could reach it and unbuckle it to get out. Even if I tightened it more, which I could only tighten it so much without it squeezing his belly, he managed to wriggle his way down and through the bottom of it to get out of the chair. Why I am giving it a four-star rating instead of my initial thought to give it three... he started unbuckling his stroller, I can wrap this around for extra support because with all of the features on the back of the stroller, he cannot easily swirl it around to unbuckle it. So it came in handy after all, just not what it was intended for.

We have an old antique high chair that has been passed down, but does not have any straps, so this is what we use. It is great and the size can be adjusted to your needs. It is also easy to wash.

My daughter always stands and tries to escape the shopping carts. This is soft and keeps her strapped in and can’t escape. Worth every penny to avoid an accidental escape and injury

They do secure your toddler during meals, but you are better off using a sturdier option as the child can still tumble over with a light weighted chair.

I bought this for an old wooden high chair with no strap. For my 10 month old grandbaby. It works great. I would not think for a smaller baby. But, for a baby sitting up good, it works good.
