I got this product after I had put a header on my old Land Cruiser and had to reroute the oil filter lines to run through a couple of the header pipes. I didn't want my oil to get to hot running next to the exhaust so I bought this shielding and I am quite impressed and it gave me the look that I was wanting.

Easy to cut. I bought the 6mm ID. Fished one 18 gage wire and a short coat hanger wire for stability. Routed the loom behind headers along the cylinder head. Protects against the heat. Don't have to worry about melted wires.

The sleeve is as described, nice and thick yet easy enough to cut.I just wish they made something like a 17mm size. Hint hint, manufacturer! :)The 1/2" is too small for 3/8" hoses and the 20mm is too large. A 16mm or 17mm sleeve would hit the spot.

Ran this over my Sniper EFI fuel lines around the engine area.They look great & I'm only assuming they work great, my line is 5-6†from the header so I can’t see how much the hose is damaged or anything but cooler fuel is always a good thing!

Yes it does work, but at 600f the material starts smoking and turning white, and the ends closest to the heat source deforms.
