I have a lovely clock that my brother-in-law made for me out of a piece of wood from one of his trees on his property. The clock stopped working. Since my brother-in-law lives out of state, I did not want to send it, as it was very heavy. So I ordered this, and had my son fix the clock. Works great now!

Arrived as advertised; ; packaged well; quick shipping; good instructions included. Would recommend as a replacement as long as you make accurate measurments.

Mechanism works well and is accurate. The shaft is log which was perfect for my clock. The gold hands were delicate--I don't expect them to last long. The delicate hands are the reason I gave it 4 stars.

I replaced the time mechanism in a miniature grandfather clock. Keeps perfect time now. It was easy to install and looks great. I chose a mechanism with more exotic looking hands than just normal "stick" hands. Really makes the clock look exceptional and look like it is worth a lot. Totally happy with the repairs and quality of the time movement piece. 5 stars.

Do Not Purchase this product. I needed a replacement mechanism with a longer stem and gold hands for a wall clock. Looked at all the choices and decided on this. Big mistake. Followed the instructions to put it together. Careful to not tighten the hex nut too tight as stated in instructions It started working and surprise, it does not keep accurate time. For a final test. Set the clock for 3:30. Went back 30 minutes later. The clock is set at 3:40. This mechanism is a piece of junk! I have replaced mechanisms on other clocks before and this one is just disappointing. The only good thing with this, the golden hands are nice.

Could not put it together so that the hour and minute hands operated separately.

I needed a replacement clock mechanism for a clock that I had made "a long time ago" for my parents, I had made the clock from a cut slice of a 100 year old oak tree that had died due to a wildfire, and the clock mechanism needed to have a long shaft. This mechanism has been a great replacement, and while it did arrive without installation instructions, the installation instructions that are posted as part of the product description provided all the information I needed. I still have a length of the tree trunk left, and plan on making clocks (now for my children) using more of this same clock mechanism.

Keeps good time. I personally like a clock I can hear tick, and this one is quite noticeable

This clock movement replacement had a long enough shaft to fit through my re-claimed wood clock face. I needed one slightly more than an inch while most other products were too short. It also came with the three required hands but they were just the right size. Installing was easy. The instructions didn't mention that there is a plastic film on the hands, it is easy to remove before it's assembled, but harder when it's assembled as in my case. Make sure the hands have clearance when passing each other. The final small nut, that holds the hour and minute hands in place, can't be too tight or too loose. A firm hand tightening is about right.
