My budget was around $300, and after comparing several bikes on Amazon, I found this one to be the best fit for my needs. The total, including tax and shipping, came to $328.11. Unfortunately, when the bike arrived, the front wheel was bent. I contacted the after-sales service right away, explained the issue, and sent them photos of the damage. They were genuinely eager to resolve the problem. They suggested I take the front wheel to a local bike shop for repairs and offered to reimburse 40% of the purchase price for the repair costs. I replaced the front wheel rim, and the cost fell within that 40%. After sending them the receipt, they promptly refunded me through Amazon the very next day. I truly appreciate their fast response and commitment to customer satisfaction. After riding the bike for a few days, I’m pleased with its performance. It’s definitely a solid choice.

Overall, I’m really happy with this bike. It’s a solid machine with good quality for the price. Assembly was not so straightforward and I had to watch a few YT videos of other similar bikes to finally complete assembling it which took me about 1.5 hrs. When I first opened the box, one of the front wheel’s spokes got bent, which threw the front disk brake pads out of alignment. Luckily, it was easy to adjust, and the bike was ready to ride after that.The bike rides smoothly, and the gear shifting is impressively seamless. My nine-year-old absolutely loves it, and I’m impressed with how well it handles. The brakes work efficiently, and the mechanism is simple to operate.That said, there are a few design choices that left me scratching my head. The rear mud flap support is totally missing, which caused the mud flaps to swing off to me. Also, the plastic chain guide broke within the first two weeks, which was a bit disappointing. Despite these small issues, I still think this is an excellent bike for the price. It’s well-built, rides effortlessly, and was mostly easy to put together. Kudos to Mongoose for creating a bike that’s both affordable and enjoyable to ride. I’d definitely recommend it!

Wish I'd purchased a bike locally. This was a Christmas gift for my husband. It looked great when he put it together but the breaks were all out of alignment. He tried to follow the online instructions but could not get it right. We finally took it to a shop where the owner told us it could not have been repaired at home. We spent as much on repairs as the purchase price. If it hadn't waited for quite awhile before being gifted I would have tried to get the seller to help us. Unfortunately, my husband was simply frustrated after trying to get it rideable.

Very easy to assemble, shifting is crisp, brakes are disk and much better than rim brakes. Would definitely buy again. As good as my Schwinn for half the cost.

For the price, this is a good bike. I picked this up as a replacement for my teenage daughter's commute to school. The bike arrived fast and assembly was generally straightforward. The only thing that took a little more time was installing the wheels especially with the disc brakes (one of the reasons I picked this bike). The alignment and tweaking took a bit longer since lining up the disc brakes required a lot of trial and error to fit into the slot.After assembly we tested it quite a bit and here are the main observations: (1) mud/tire guards, which were nicely included, were worthless since the way they were attached to the frame were weak and the guards kept drooping onto the wheels, so we removed both guards; (2) gear shifters were smooth but without the numbers that we were used to, it was hard to tell if we were dialing in the right setting so the gear setting were fuzzy and we're continuing to figure out a better way to tell what gear we're on and to ensure the dial isn't on an in-between slot; (3) disc brakes, while I had high hopes, didn't work as good as I thought; in fact, our older, traditional brakes seemed to work better; (4) the frame and overall bike is pretty heavy; (5) kickstand was a nice, convenient surprise.

Bike went together easy. Not a high end bike by any means but for here around town and local trails, should be fine. Thought it was a tad expensive for overall quality but what isn't nowadays. Came with fenders I thought were not included. Pleasant surprise. Rides well, brakes are OK and needed a bit of adjustment to work 100%. Same on the shifter just a minor tweek. Otherwise satisfied with purchase for my daughter and her dog. Trailer for dog as shown in pic. Moderately recommended this bike.
