Easy to configure using existing examples. Bright white text on blue background is clearly visible. There's even a stand available for it and I was able to set my Pi Zero 2W between the legs of the stand to keep it tidy.

Easy to use with the arduino LiquidCrystal_I2C.h library. It worked well for me with no issues.

The LCD had a deep scratch and the rest of the bezel had small scratches. While small scratches on the bezel aren't a big deal aesthetically, it does indicate that this could be a used product. It does power on and work at least.Update: The replacement is in a worse state. The box came crushed, and the PCB that the LCD is mounted on came cracked. Buyer beware. See updated photos.

There are complaints about this device not showing anything on the display. That is because the user doesnt know that the brightness output has to be adjusted thru the potentiometer screw on the back of the unit. On your first attempt at using the display, adjust the display to your satisfaction. On my first try, nothing was shown until the brightness adjustment was altered.

While all LCD's are essentially the same, this model is coupled with an I2C backpack making it very easy to use. Rather than needing 4 serial lines (pins) plus power and a contrast potentiometer, the backpack provides for communication over a 2-line I2C connection and has the contrast potentiometer built in.
