I have a Poulan 3314 Chainsaw it hasn't run in about 4 years. I called someone local to see if they could work on it, but the cost was going to be too high. It would've been better just to buy a new one. But that person told me that it was probably the carburetor. So I ordered this, knowing that it would work. Watched a video on YouTube that was great. This thing works great. It's easy to put on, it fits. They only thing is that the back linkage sometimes has to be clipped or shortened for the cover to fit back on but no big deal. But you will need the. Hipa Pack-of-12 Carburetor Adjustment Tool. Because the carburetor had to be adjusted and without this, you can't do it. This chainsaw from the time I bought it has always been hard to start. And it just got worse and worse and worse. Now it starts up easy and about 3 to 4 pulls.I highly recommend this and would purchase this again in a heartbeat

Did not use the carburetor or the air filter. The filter was too thick and could not put on the cover. I am keeping the carb for future replacement. It was slightly different but I would think it will work.I replaced all of the gas lines and primer bulb. I have always had a good experience with Hipa.

Excellent replacement for my saw and came with more in the hardware kit than I expected - I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a new carburetor and tune up kit

My old Poulan 3816 was running rich and couldn't be tuned. I cleaned it, but no go. Put this carb on it, and it's running like new. Very little tweaking on the high speed jet and all is good. Great value with the extras that came with it.

This is a perfect rebuild kit for my Poulan chainsaw that did not want to start due to lack of use. This kit was perfect for this tune-up. The carburetor dropped right in. The fuel hoses and filter were also very welcome because my existing lines were so old they just flaked off and needed to be replaced. The only thing to note is that the rod that operates the choke mechanism is just a little too long and catches on the plastic housing causing the trigger to stay on. I used diagonal pliers to snip the tip just enough to clear the housing and now it works great.

The pluses: price and the unit came with appropriately sized replacement tubing. The gaskets were not exact (kept my old gasket in place). Biggest concern, the linkage system is different than original Poulan part. A 1/4" cut at the end of the throttle rod was was needed to accommodate the back and forth movement of the linkage inside the cowling. A lot of trial and error to make things fit. I started out with a non-functioning chainsaw and was able to cut after installation, but not without modifications and considerable frustration. There are Youtube videos showing how it's done, but seeing and doing are two different things. Prepare to spend a couple of hours tinkering if replacing all parts from this kit. Oh, and don't give up!

First, I'll start by saying I'm no dummy when it comes to carburetors. This and another one that I purchased would not even attempt to start my chainsaw. The only reason I bought 2 from different sellers was so my chances of getting 1 that works would be statistically better...instead wasted money on 2 separate prices of junk due to a short return window I am now stuck with both.I rebuilt my original carb, but there is a stuck check valve in that one, and it isn't worth replacing due to it being a dual barrel and requiring hammering it out if I can find it. Neither of the 2 I purchased even remotely make an attempt to get it started while the original will run flawlessly until you give it gas and the check valve sticks open allowing too much fuel or air depending which way it stuck.I bought a 60V flexvolt 20" saw, which has been great... pull trigger and cut 2 simple steps. Now that I am getting to the main trunk of a 36 inch red oak and the battery requires more frequent charges I gave this carb(s) one more shot at redemption thinking possibly I did something wrong but no this junk just will not fire off or even attempt to run...the linkage is too long and hangs on the air breather housing and of course they didn't perfectly model it after the original so I am unable to use the check valve from this in the original carb.Overall, it was a very frustrating experience. I and I will never buy another non OEM carb as this is a huge Pima... since the moment I received them, there were no instructions to tell if it should be set at 1 1/4 turn out like the OEM no your just left winging it is it 2 turns out 1.5 or 1 turn??? just a simple pc of paper would have been sufficient to indicate where the initial settings need to be would be friggin awesome...do better for someone else cause I am done with this mess.
