The product description states carb repair kit fits Stihl 026 chainsaw but none of the fuel hoses provided work on 026 - too long and crimp when installed shutting off fuel to carb

Fuel line was the main reason I bought this. It bends and chokes off all flow of fuel to the saw, starving it and killing it. Didn't get to test the carb, since the fuel line doesn't deliver fuel.OEM has ribs all the way up to the bend and is harder rubber. This one collapses since it is softer and doesn't have the ribs.

I have a 024AV and everything in this kit works with the exception of the air filter. Not even close. Popped the carb in and it fired right up. Hooray.

So, I got this to replace the old Tillotson carb that I have been having a hard time finding parts for and I wanted a matched air filter. Well, I got a new carb and the same air filter I already had to plug the extra hole in. My thought was the new carb should have the port to plug the hole in the air filter. Then I was looking at the picture and the kit and realized that the carb doesn't have the port nor is the top plate with the port in the kit. In the second to last picture, they show the new filter next to the old one and say the new one is what you get, but it's the one with a big hole in it. For this carb setup you need the old-style filter for best results and ease of assembly. No one want to have to glue a plug into a new air filter...Will update after I have some run time on the carb.
