I have only ever purchased two hipshot items because I was always concerned about their price. Their items are worth what they are asking for them.This is obviously machined from a solid block and I felt the quality the moment I pulled it from the package. The finish on it was perfect. I was worried about where I was mounting it, it is further back than all the pictures I found online, but it does the job of holding tension on the strings wonderfully.Obviously you will need to create new holes for mounting since it uses two screws where what it replaces only uses one.I will likely be using these on every bass I build.
