Serated on both sides, so you can switch hands which is very helpful in tricky spaces. Also, because you can switch hands you can exercise your right & left hands evenly. Double sided serated tools are rare, so that's a big plus with Dirty Little Digger.Works great for digging in hard clay with lots of small stones & cuts right through those smaller tough tree roots. Great for scooping while scraping.Durable tool. Comfortable handle.If you could only afford 3 hand tools, then I'd recommend Dirty Little Digger, a transplanter, & bypass cutters. Dirty Little Digger is definitely at the top of my Essentials List.So essential that I have two just in case I misplace one.

This scoop is better than any type of spade. The edges cut right through small roots. The pointed tip breaks up clay-types soil easily. The scoop part is genius, it actually holds the dirt, unlike a regular trowel. So far, this particular brand seems sturdy and well made. I liked it so much, I bought both the smaller and the larger versions. I am an avid gardener and am tough on tools. I have 4 acres of pristine gardens, 8 chainsaws and a backhoe to keep up with it. This tool deserves a place on my belt.

I love the quality and size and weight of this digger. I have been through quite a few over the years that bend and rust. This one is replacing them all. I loved it so much I came back and bought one for my sister for her birthday. She loves it too. Great product.

This tool does it all, digging, scraping & scooping! It’s great to use for planting in containers!I loved it so much I got one for my daughter-in-law for Mother’s Day!

It looked like a great innovative multi-purpose tool, but have found that it has a limitation. The curved tip is very sharp, stiff and the sides are angled to help penetrate earth. However, the curve of the tool is simply too much. I can't push the tool into the ground due to the amount of curvature. At the same time, the curvature makes it effective when used in a pulling toward you motion, which I found very effective in pulling up compact gravel in my driveway, to dig up weeds. But that's not something that I do very often, so the tool is not of much use to me.If you were to reduce the curvature by maybe 1/2, then it would probably be a great, all purpose garden tool, and I would buy a new and improved version.

Great product. Good quality. Love that I can scoop out more dirt when digging holes. Measurements are helpful for planting bulbs to depth.
