The product was a replacement part for my Kitchen Aid gas grill. It is made of stainless steel and fit perfectly. It should last a long time due to stainless steel construction.

These flame tamers are stainless steel, medium weight, and appear to be decent quality. However, I returned them because they did not fit my 4-burner Monument grill.Technically, they are the correct length, and they will lay in the grill. However, the design has a 'V' groove on each side that causes them not to be long enough to reach the pegs in my grill that the flame tamers are designed to sit. Due to this, when I put them in the grill, they sat too low to the burners. Sure, these could be used, but I am going to presume that the engineers who designed the grill and spent money to add pegs had a good reason, and that was likely so the original grill tamers would sit at a specific height.I was able to find another brand that fit like the originals, so I returned these. Your experience may vary, look at your grill before buying and good luck!

It seemed like the old bars were shrinking. They would fall out of the slots once you turned the BBQ on. That seems crazy but it was happening. These bars fit right into the old slots and appear to be of identical quality to the original bars that came with the Kitchen Aid BBQ.
