Mine after almost 2 years of use finally started to deteriorate because I neglect to cover my grill often, and the elements get in, and I forget to empty the ash tray. This was a brand new start for my grill, and it's very sturdy, thick, and gets the job done. It's the ferfect size for the Memphis Ultimate, and you literally just take it out the box and set it down in the adjustable level holder.

Weber Spirit conversion from propane to charcoal. Quick conversion; remove propane tank, remove grilling grates, remove flare-up shields, set in the new charcoal tray, adjust length of tray with all holes open. DoneMeasure twice before ordering not all gas grills have the same dimensions.I even left in the burners just in case I want or need to use propane again.

Bought this because our chargriller charcoal pan burned out. I tried ordering one from the company and they were unable. I grill a lot so I needed one and saw the stretchable pan and thought it would work. It did! The grill that comes with is odd, it only covers the pan partially. I don’t think it’s a big issue though. I have used the new charcoal pan and it works fine. I would order it again.

Replacement charcoal tray was not available from Char Griller. This one seems sturdier than the original and fit just fine.

This is a great idea but is a bit odd on the design. The sliding is nice, it goes up to about 26" long with a fixed depth of 13". It can fit most grills/smokers with this configuration. The odd design comes in since the grate doesn't fully cover the bottom but it does slide along the entire length. Then, no configuration allows the bottom holes to align to fully let air in. Are these a real issue, not really, it's just a bit odd. It does work for what it is, it holds charcoal. So, If you're not too critical, it will be fine. I adjusted this to fit my Z-grills and it will work fine after removing the heat pot baffle and drip tray. That's what I want it for - to use charcoal in the smoker when I want to. I think it's a little pricey for what it is, but it is solid and comes nicely packaged to prevent any damage.
