Works as intended however, I use this to remove door pins for easy removal of doors from hinges. After using one for that exact purpose for 5 years while paint contracting, this works just fine in those areas a hammer just wonΓ’β¬β’t reach. Those cheap HomeDepot pin removers usually break after 2/3 doors.

I carry this in my pocket next to my pencils. ItΓ’β¬β’s very convenient to not have to grab a hammer when I find a protruding nail. If you donΓ’β¬β’t have one, definitely try one out.

Do not recommend. Used this to set nails on some doors and trim for part of the day and it is already destroyed. TERRIBLE.

I really love the quality of these HIT tools. The machining is perfection and they are so well finished - metal is properly hardened and they pack a good punch. I have a few others (the hinge pin punch is fantastic, as are their flat face hammer tips) and needed the #1 here for 18ga brad nails. Works a treat as long as you do your job. It's been a long time since I tried the other main USA brand of these but from what I recall I'm pretty sure these HIT are better quality. The cheaper import versions are comparative junk with softer metal and weaker springs that stretch out too easily.

This product is of poor quality, I only used it twice and it no longer works.
