I ordered this towards the end of the 2023 hunting season. It was on back order so I didn’t receive it until after the season was over. With the 2024 archery season finally open in my state, I got to use this for the first time.My climber is a Summit Viper SD. This will only fit the diagonal square tubes which normally have padding for armrests. I mounted mine to the very bottom. I have some sound deadening tape on all of the exposed aluminum so that made my fitment even more snug.I will say that it’s a little nerve racking fiddling with a bolt when you’re 30ft up. My climber won’t nest with this attachment in place so I’ll have to remove it each time I get down. However, I’m very happy with the placement of my bow relative to where my left hand sits. It’s far more convenient than have to stand and turn when your bow is on a hanger. I still find that deer sneak in on me when conditions allow them to and anything that can keep my movement to a minimum is a win in book.Given the price point, I feel like this a great addition for compound bow users. It’s functional and the rubber keeps bow removal quiet while not compromising sturdiness.

At the price point, my expectations were not high. When I got the part installed on my tree stand and adjusted, I was impressed. Mine is sturdy, seems well built, and had all the right adjustment availability to get my bow right where I wanted it!

This does not fit the platform perimeter of a Summit treestand but it does fit the upper brace of the platform. You can slide it almost all the way to the bottom and very near the platform which suits me best anyway. I put this on my new Summit stand but have the Summit version on my older Viper. This Bow Holder is at least 2 stars superior. Ok, 3 stars superior. The Summit one is not very good. This one is much more trustworthy. My only knock is the side screw is way too long. It is completely unnecessary to have it this long and it sticks out too much (an inch). I might hacksaw it.UPDATE: Jan 2019 - After a full season of use, I am going to knock it down one star. I stand by the sturdiness that I previously described. It is much sturdier than the Summit version, however, I'm knocking it due to the length of the fork (tines). When testing, I did not notice any issues but in the field I quickly noticed that my bow (longer than most at about 38") was too close to the climber/seat. I almost had to have my seat a little cockeyed to avoid the interference. I could see this being a smaller issue with a shorter axle to axle bow. If you don't have a climber stand, the issue is probably non-existent. If you put the holder on the left side of your stand (that's where I like it), then a quiver on the right side of your bow could also interfere significantly with a climber style stand. No issues with small seat climbers (open front) or hang-on stands. For those varieties, it is still a great buy.

I have been using these HME Bow holders for many years and all of them have worked great! Fits many different stands and other square tubing rails. Makes for great bow hunting with very little movement when that buck of a life time comes into range! Love these!! Never go to the woods with my bow without one in my back pack!! Great products from HME!!!

Excellent to attach to your treestand to hang extra gear, helps to keep gear within easy reach.

Setup is easy and it works like it should. Bow holder is very sturdy if you tighten everything down properly. I waited until I was in the tree before I set it up. It just takes a few minutes and is easy. Word to the wise: be extra careful with the supplied allen wrench (or bring a spare) if you're gonna set it up once you're in your tree stand. If you drop it, you might need a metal detector to find it. And if you're older, bring a pair of reading glasses, too.

Would not secure my bow in the holder. I wouldn't trust my bow in this holder at any height. My bow kept creeping forward as the set screw did not hold. Maybe it was just a bad one, but it was very dissapointing.

Does not work well if the arrows in your quiver are longer than your lower cam wheel. This product will not work in a treestsnd with a compound bow.
