I have many online video conferences and needed a way to keep my laptop in just the right position, without having to re-adjust it and find ways to get it to the right height each time I set up for an appointment. While not the most glamorous option I found, it has turned out to be the most functional. My somewhat heavy laptop (17" MacBook) remains safely in place on the plate, which has enough of a lip to keep it from slipping. I think even a larger laptop would work. Height and tilt adjustments give lots of positioning options. An added, and unexpected benefit is that my laptop no longer feels hot, no matter how long it has been running. Somehow that metal plate/platform keeps it cool. This is a very sturdy stand that would be hard to push over (wide heavy-duty tripod legs keep it stable). It's not light weight, but also is pretty easy to move around. No set-up instructions came with this, but I found none were needed. However, I would not have known what one tool hanging from a knob was, had I not read the description on given online. (It's a safety pin to insert in the support post). In all, this was a great find for a good price and exactly what I was looking for. No more complaints about finding enough boxes and books on which to perch my computer!

I ordered 2 of these for Christmas window decoration projectors in my home. I needed the projector tray to sit optionally horizontally AND vertically to the floor. (Parallel and perpendicular to the floor.). This unit accommodates both of those positions very well.(A bungee cord, a velcro strap, or a few 8" tie wraps must be used to secure any projector - the tray has a lip on each of the 2 longer sides, but if someone snags a power cable, your projector will not sustain the fall. The unit does not come with anything that will keep the projector in place.)Regardless, these are perfect for my projection purposes.These are very beefy stands; I was surprised at the size of the boxes, and delighted with the quality of the units inside. These have the feel of quality in production of consumer goods not seen in 50 years. I am pretty sure these will last the rest of my life if I take care not to over tighten the three plastic T handles that are used to lock the tray and legs in position. While the handles feel quite durable, plastic breaking is not unheard of.Looking at other uses around the house, I do not see many. If I were to make suggestions to the manufacturer, I would urge an optional or included camera mount. I also might suggest an optional extension pole so the tray can be leveled higher. Lastly, if the latter extension was available, a horizontal pole support at the top for each of two units would allow these to be used for photo backdrops for family pictures around the holidays - or as supports for a fabric projector screen.So, as received, the only other use I foresee around the home would be as a music stand.In closure, I highly recommend this unit. It is well designed, durable, easy to setup, and the finish on it is impressive as well.

For a very long time I have been searching for something I can use as a standing desk while using my laptop computer that does not take up much storage space. After reading many positive reviews as well as being familiar with Hola! Music products (I own one of their awesome ukulele & tuner) I decided to give this one a try after spotting it. The price was also right. Many standing desks are too pricey.I purchased the HPS-300B Heavy Duty version which the company suggested for this purpose on their video.[I also purchased as well as the recommended Microphone Stand Clamp-On Utility Shelf by Gator Frameworks (got the 9x9 size) to use as the laptop mouse stand & it works great with this product! Very sturdy as this product!]Knew since day 1 (almost 2 weeks now) it was the perfect choice for me!The tripod stand and table top is very sturdy & professional looking!So far I have used it as a standing desk while working with my laptop computer as well as for teaching classes via virtual meetings. I have a separate desk I have been using as a sitting desk so this product was not needed for that purpose which I knew when purchased would only work as a standing desk.The table portion can be tilted forward and locked to a desired position for use as a music standfor sheet music as well!It is a heavy product being made of metal. The weight can help with the sturdiness of the product along with the excellent construction. Hopefully with great care & careful storage it will last a long time!Very pleased with this purchase! Purchased this at a discount as described as “open boxâ€. It did have a large scratch on the underside of the plate, not really visible and does not affect what is very sturdy stand. Been using this for a laptop, height adjustment good for sitting or standing. Will also use as a music stand although quite big to take around, I knew this already as a band member had one. Pleased with my purchase.

Had a music stand that was half the price but kept collapsing . The knobs that tightened the stand were not gripping anymore. In addition to the stand being a more robust design, this also has a metal pin which passes through the stand as an additional strengthening measure. This looks like it will last forever.
