There are NO instructions worth mentioning. Even the youtube video I watched had stuff put together wrong. Your best bet is to have a carb as an example or look at enough pictures and use mechanical inclination to put the thing together. All that said, these parts are factory Holley and metal instead of the garbage plastic that came with my carb back in the day. I would buy again if the need arose.

You have to modify the carb body to fit a 4180 but it's possible. Not a job for the faint of heart.Awesome choke, wish it wasn't a process to put on the 4180, but glad I made it work. Auto chokes suck and those dorman conversion kits are too cheesy to me.

I removed an electric choke and installed a manual cable and this kit. It works great and I didn't have any trouble assembling it although it lacks detail instructions. I went online and searched images of Holly carrbs with manual chokes and saw how it all went together. Nice functional kit.

Good quality parts, everything fit nicely on my Holley 4160 carburetor. The directions were difficult to follow. If you can understand these directions, you probably wouldn't have needed these directions to begin with. I had to resort to looking at pictures of mechanical choke setups on Google.

So many Holley Carburetors come with electric chokes. I prefer manual and find it better to operate. Instructions could use depictions on how to install. Overall I'm very happy with it.Don't forget choke cable for operation. Edelbrock choke cable is of very high quality.

I really prefer a manual choke and the oem Holley kit is the way to go. If you are comfortable working on carburetors, you won't have any trouble installing this. One thing I did different on my installation is to use high quality rtv (Dirko) sealant on the vacuum pull off port instead of hammering in the lead ball that comes with the kit. If I decide to go back to the electric choke at some point, it will be much easier!
