This marine pump just works good. I used one pump to fuel two 331 Imperial Hemi Marine motors that have twin single barrel carbs. It provides plenty of fuel for both motors without making too much pressure bypassing the floats, flooding the motors. I always start my starboard engine first so I put a oil pressure switch on that motor for a fail safe device. Switching to a electric pump made the engines start easier as they don't have to grind on the starters till the bowls fill if the motors haven't been started in a while since the tanks are 40' forward of the engines. It is a USCG approved unit and has been very dependable so far.

I haven’t installed it in my boat yet, but the pump was delivered promptly and is as promised and advertised. Hoping it solves my fuel problem in my boat.

Pump is ok. It can easily prime itself, draw from tank about 3 feet head height, through 20 feet of 3/8 inch fuel line, i tested that. Well used it draws about 3 inches on my vacuum gauge, the electric vane carter draws about 4.5 to 6 inches, I have three of those. One advantage over the Carter is you can repair the internal pressure relief valve. The Carter can swell up or get stuck open or closed and then you buy a new pump. Carter though is better in that the motor is immersed in the fuel so it cools better. The Holley relief valve can rust and then it is stuck closed and the pump will produce huge pressures and flood the carb. So always put a regulator after the pump.I use a standard dead head Holley regulator with a quick fuel methanol green diaphragm 35-1100. That means today's gasoline wont eat thru the diaphragm and then you will have a big leak of gasoline onto the motor.One way to help draw fuel is to place a large gas filter, such as a water separating filter close to level with the pump. Then the pump draws from the filter which acts like a fuel tank at same level as pump. This way the pump does not have to dry draw fuel from a much lower tank. When it pulls from the filter, the filter pulls from the lower tank level. At least that is my own idea.Always filter before the pump. I also got rid of the internal screen. With ethanol gas, it always seemed to rust up, and the internal valve does rust up also and get stuck.

We installed this pump on a houseboat, where the distance from the fuel tank to the generator was too far for the generator fuel pump to provide the necessary fuel. It works great, glad we bought it!

Nice quiet pump that does the job it was designed for. I love the fact that I don't need a fuel regulator. I got the pump delivered in three days. Easy to install.
