I’m a 20-year-old with autism, and this ERV Bible is a life-changer. I've always struggled with reading and understanding complex texts, and the traditional King James or even some modern translations felt overwhelming. But the Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) is exactly what it says it is: easy to read.The simple vocabulary and shorter sentences make a world of difference. I didn't tell the seller it was a gift, but they incidentally gift-wrapped the gift in blue- the recipient's favorite color. Win! Also, the Bible was a Easy to Read Translation, had summaries of key Bible verses grouped by themes like healing, financial success, marriage, etc, and a perfect gift. The recipient is a 18-yr young woman starting a Christian faith, and needs a Bible that's easy to understand, and this was the ideal gift to get her started.Thanks for your ministry!

The Bible translation itself gets 5 STARS from me. The formatting of the Kindle book gets 3 STARS. So, I had to average it out to 4 stars. **Buy the hardcopy version if you want to find Scripture passages easily. The Kindle version WILL NOT HELP YOU DO THIS.** When I read the Kindle version, it's usually to read a large chunk of Scripture like an entire book. Not to search through it.The translation is 2nd to none in terms of accessibility to the largest number of readers. This Bible is good for anyone. Many people who critique its accuracy to the original texts may not actually have studied Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek along with ancient Eastern and Western Mediterranean culture. When you combine the language translation with the cultural translation you get an amazingly faithful translation (ERV) that is easy for most people to understand.What makes this version easy to read is the expanded nature of the language. Where the KJV or NIV expresses a verse in one sentence, the ERV expresses the same verse in two or three. This expansion is due to the usage of smaller words that may even define a term like "repentance" by saying "change your life." This makes it accessible. Whereas a person may not understand the concept of repentance upon their first read of the Bible, they can understand what it means to "change your life." That's the core message, which I consider to be a faithful translation. I usually buy this Bible in hardcopy by the case lot so that I can give it away. Usually, when people (teens mostly) talk to me after reading their ERV they say something like, "This is the first time that I've read the Bible and understood it." Translate that.

To those who are learning English and want to read the bible to feed your spirit, that is the best version.They use a simple language and maintain the same structure of the Bible, the footnotes help us to understand things that we actually would not know just reading it.I recommend this version.

If you ever wanted to read the Bible from beginning to end like a regular book then you have to purchase this book.Is so easy to understand, once you get into it, it is very intriguing and hard to put down., I love it
