I have been looking for an automatic salt and pepper grinding set for several reasons with the main reason being one handed operation. Trying to stir with one hand and season with the other just can't been done with a manual grinder. It also is nice when you have older guests that want to season their food at the dinner table who just don't have the hand strength anymore to use a manual grinder and table shaker salt and pepper just isn't the same as freshly ground black pepper and a good sea salt. Powering on the grinder for use is by an on/off switch that is easily operated by a thumb switch that allows it to keep running for larger amounts instead of a momentary switch that you need to keep held down to grind. These use a USB-C charging base that keeps them fully charged when sitting on the table and the charging cable is included but you will need to provide the AC adapter portion to plug it into the wall. There is an indicator light inside to show red for charging and white for charged. The grind size has a nice range but at the largest size you may need to shake or brush out pieces before decreasing the grind size because pieces of salt and pepper get lodged in the disk and a small brush is included. This is not unique problem to just these mills. Other spices can be used in these mills as well. I absolute recommend these for use and this would also make a great gift. Recommended purchase.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this automatic salt and pepper grinder set! The moment I took them out of the box, I knew I'd made a great purchase. The grinders are sleek and modern, with a beautiful black and white design that looks stunning on my kitchen countertop. The LED light is a brilliant touch, illuminating the area where the salt and pepper are dispensed. But what really impressed me was the performance. These grinders are incredibly easy to use - simply tilt them upside down, and the gravity-activated mechanism takes care of the rest. The adjustable coarseness feature is also a game-changer, allowing me to customize the grind to my liking. The fact that they're USB rechargeable is also a huge plus. No more batteries to replace or cords to deal with! The one-hand operation is also super convenient, making it easy to season my food without having to put down my utensils.Overall, I'm thoroughly delighted with this automatic salt and pepper grinder set! They're a great value for the price, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen with a convenient and stylish new gadget.

I am replacing all of our manual salt and pepper grinders to electric and ordered this set because of some of the features that I like. I wanted a set that had a base on it to keep these constantly charging because I keep this set next to my stove for use while cooking. I love that feature but the charger has fla s with the contact points where the metal contacts the internal battery. The base is stable but the way the grinders fit on the base is not a good fit because they only fit in a very specific way and I find myself having to spend a few seconds to seat them properly in a way the grinders are not crooked. The contact points are also very finicky, where they won't charge if not seated perfectly. I also noticed that the charging indicator lights will randomly change color, which indicates fully charged vs charging , even when I haven't used them recently. The outer material is pure plastic and just feels kinda cheap but they do work well. These have multiple adjustments available to control grind coarseness.

Potential buyers should be aware that there are basically two schools of how these grinders work. One is that the resting orientation is the using orientation. You simply lift it, and hit a switch. This works, but there is the unavoidable issue of salt/pepper releasing after the intended use. The other, this type, has an On/Off switch that is left on unless filling or cleaning it. When "On", the grinder only comes on after the grinder is tilted well past horizontal. Tilt back up, it stops, any extra sits in the upper area until next time.Having had both, I see no advantage of any kind of the 1st type. I currently have a different set of the tipper kind and like them quite well. They recharge individually with a cord. This is fine, as they sit on the dinning table & I do not want a cradle there. This set is intended for the cooking area and a charging cradle is okay, desirable even. The grinders find their proper set in the cradle easily, they (and the cradle) look good on the counter. They glow a soft red when charging, soft white charged. They grind very well, at an appropriate pace, the fineness is linearly adjustable, and the pepper grinder does not struggle (some do).At the price (even without), this is a home run. VERY much recommended.

What's next in salt and pepper grinding tech? We went from vigorously shaking them to simply turning the grinder... now we just flip them upside down and a lithium ion battery commands tiny little grinding robots to do all the work for you!The only negative thing I can say about these after having used them for 3 weeks now it's that they get messy with ground salt and pepper powder and there's no lids on top to hide it. I suppose that's another step having to remove and replace the lid each time, too many for this modern convenience! If you want to keep these fully charged all the time to avoid surprises you better have a USB adapter in an outlet nearby or place the charging sled out of the way and charge them when they start to slow down.
