I'm leaving it as so far OK rating and will change the rating to higher when I put it to use and see how it works, that is if it works without any problems. So far it is minor, but I went out and spent a few dollars on some spring clamp for 1/2 inch tubing. The clamps that came with it if they were smaller they would probably would have worked. The worm drive gear hose clamps even if they had the right size ones, which they did not come with my order the right size they were too large to clamp before binding up, would be only next best to the more even clamping of the spring type hose clamps. In the box it came in the bottom of the coils were squished down at the base. Easy to expand it gently back to shape so that the bulk of the coils are above the bottle by a few inches and then look as in the image shown in the ad. It fits well inside the 5 gallon vessels I have two of to do a 6 gallon brew. 2 burners so I can heat all the wort. The chiller I noticed should be offset to the side of the vessel to be sure if it were to leak at the hose connection fittings it would be at least 2 inches adjacent to the side of the vessel. Also I have Teflon tape so I will add some to the hose fittings to help prevent any leaks. The brazing or soldering work done shows to be alright. I would wonder what to clean it some more than whatever was done in manufacture? The flux and heat when done left some discoloration of the copper and there is some concern I thought to clean it a bit better before it goes into operation. I will test for leaks first also without it actually going into any hot liquid.I upped the review to full marks, it worked great and cooled my two each separate boils of 2.5 gallons in around 1/2 hr each. I even saved the water that was used to cool using the chiller, in the this drought it can help. I'll water my garden with the 6 each 5gallon old plastic water jugs later. The temperature was not really that hot as it went through additional length of hose that went out side to fill the jugs.

The HomeBrewStuff 25’ Copper Immersion Wort Chiller is a must have for any home brewer. I just recently started brewing again after a break for a few years and I could not be happier with this chiller. Cool my wort from boil to 70 degrees F within 15 minutes and came with all the attatchments needed for garden hose hook ups and for the sink. Which is great for me since I can’t use the garden hose in the winter-time due to the temperature. The only problem I had is one of the clamps that clamped closest to the wort chiller broke after I went to tighten it due to water leaking out. That was not a huge issue because you can get those for about $.50 at the local hardware store.Other then that, this wort chiller is a great add on to my home brewery and is essential to get the wort to drop fast enough to lessen the chance of contamination.

I recently purchased this wort chiller and it works fantastic. My temperature of my wort was about 216 degrees it went down to 100 degrees in about 10 minutes. I was making a stout beer. I also have very good cold well water. My chiller was well packaged by the shipper and works perfectly as described. It comes with all the rubber washers you need. When you tighten the garden hose fittings do not over tighten, just hand tight or you might cause a leek. You do not need Teflon tape. You can use it on your kitchen sink faucet as I did or in the warmer months you can use it outdoors. I love this thing. Make sure you read the instructions.

it does well for its capacity; contained all the connecting hardware I needed with plenty of tubing; no leaks around any soldered connections; It's a bit small for my 15 gallon boil pot, but . . . I rigged a submersible pump into a cooler that holds about 30 lbs of ice then filled with water. circulating through the wort chiller will cool 6 gallons of wort to about 70F in about 10 minutes (not precise but close) with some of the ice water left. I would definitely buy this again and am very happy with the addition it made to my brew day.

A wort chiller will only work as good as the connections it has and the temperature of the water running through it. The chiller came with everything I needed to get it up and running in one day, with no more purchases required. Tight fittings, I didn't even need the worm clamps, but added them anyway to ensure a tight seal. Rubber gaskets in each connection ensured a water tight fit. Extra long hoses were a bonus as well. I threw the chiller into the wort about ten minutes left on boil to sterilize it. Mind you, it had already been sprayed down as well. Cautious and paranoid about bacteria. The hoses were long enough to keep lifted so as to not burn or melt them while the boil finished. Turned off my heat and threw on the cold water. 1hr+ down to 10 minutes to cool my wort!! I could not believe it. In just five minutes the wort had cooled from boiling to 120 degrees and you could literally watch the mercury drop. Keep in mind that is in February in the Northeast, so the water coming from the tap can quite cold. All in all, this product exceeded my expectations. As a fairly new brewer, I was amazed and I am quite satisfied with this product and company. Well worth the price when you consider running around and picking up all the parts you will need for other chillers out there.

Very nice, and great that it comes with all the fittings. My first chiller was a 10' tube I bent myself while trying to save $. Don't be a dumb cheapskate like me. Treat yourself right and get this chiller if your wort batches run 6 gallons or more. Be careful of that hot water coming out of the effluent end! Like all immersion chillers, it works best if you agitate it during chilling. Agitation works better than stirring the wort: just grab the pre-cooling inlet at the top of the chiller and move it up-and-down in your wort pot. The more you do this, the quicker your wort will cool to pitching temp. A constant agitation would probably get 6-7 gallons of wort sufficiently cooled in less than 15 minutes. Expect for cooling to take much longer if you don't agitate the chiller.
