I had too much distance between the junction box in my yard and my modem. My Internet never hit the speeds I was paying for except for right after a modem reboot, and it would fall off pretty quick most weeks to where it would be unusable after just a few days. My line was bad enough that when tested it rarely would come back as DOCSIS 3.0, when it should have been 3.1.After installing the Commscope not only do I have clear 3.1, my speed averages over 75 Mbps OVER what I am paying for and it has been weeks since I rebooted my modem.

I live in somewhat of a rural area where the cable company is the only viable choice for high speed internet. Over the last year, our service has continued to degrade and we were offline for days at a time. After replacing my modem, router and a new drop from the pole, we were still losing connection. I knew our download/upload power levels were out of range but it appeared there was nothing I could do nor did the cable company have any interest if helping to resolve. So I found this amplifier online and decided to give it a try. While it is called an "amplifier" it does more to balance your signal verses boosting the already high power levels. It has been installed for more than a month and my Internet has been stable and functioning at 400MB download/14MB upload.

Arrived without any instructions, but that did not matter, it was inoperative anyway. This was an"open package" but Amazon should have plugged it in to make sure it worked before re-selling.

Quality product, works perfectly with Rogers internet and cable (compatible with internet cable modem Hitron CODA-4582, currently I have Rogers Ignite Gigabit). Signal has been improved, tested by going into diagnostic menu for each box, no more issues with cable boxes located further away. Internet modem was connected via VOIP pass-through port, DOCSIS WAN values signal strength (dBmV) and signal noise ratio (dB) are better (can be accessed via internet modem Web interface at 192.168.100.1).NextBox 4k PVR, two NextBox 3.0 PVR and two NextBox (used Roger's Antronix 2-way splitter for non PVR boxes, -3.5 db) were connected to the remaining available 4 ports. Power adapter looks and feels heavy duty.Uplink operating frequency band is 5-42 MHz.Downlink operating frequency band is 54-1002 MHz
