The coffee urn works well but I almost returned it for not working. I didn’t see anything in the directions about an on switch and just happened to spot it by the plug when repacking. Heated up quickly and was still hot after an hour of being unplugged with only 60 ounces of water in it which is perfect for my purpose of an outdoor drink table at a Christmas concert.

I read many reviews of this urn which complained of the water/coffee temperature not being hot enough.Here is my take on that. This is a light weight urn, not double insulated in any way, so the temp of the contents is hot, but not so hot that it will stay hot for too long. Usually I have to wait a bit to actually drink hot beverages from urns; not with this. It is hot, but ready to drink - for me at least.For my needs, this urn is more than adequate as I did not want to spend too much on a second urn.On the plus side: the water is hot enough, the urn is stainless steel and not aluminum, it's not too heavy and easy to work with, and most of all it was not expensive.

I ordered this online and received it later than promised (I was supposed to get it on the day I needed it "every Thursday"), then on the day that I needed it the following week I took it out of the box only for it to NOT WORK! I tried different plugs thinking my outlet sporadically stopped working like it Never did, but it still didn't work. I left it plugged in thinking it would come on eventually but it didn't. There is NO on/of switch, as plugging it in is supposed to turn it on.

This is an excellent coffee pot. Appearances terrific, handles are quite usable. The brew basket is small enough that I can even use regular Mr Coffee coffee filters, just cut a hole in the bottom. The brewing is exceptionally fast, although I would like it to be a few degrees cooler. It would be better with an adjustable heating element. My last stainless steel coffee pot (different brand) died because the heat was turned up so much it burned out the unit. This one's a couple degrees cooler than that one, but we could stand a variable control.

We bought this to replace an old aluminum urn for our community hall. The dual spouts are a bit silly (they're so close together two people couldn't use it at the same time), but not intrusive. Makes good coffee in a reasonable amount of time. Nice shiny finish that we like.

This is a great coffee urn which is made of Stainless steel which is advertised, a lot of kitchen are not using Aluminum products now because of food contamination.Why would you install a plastic filter basket, which after one use is now warped.It would be a good idea to use SS for all parts i believe .Thanks.
