I seriously doubt the original list price was $39.99 and $17.50 is still pricey, but it's cute, does the job and I'm not throwing garlic in the trash. I wanted terra cotta both for keeping garlic fresh longer than plastic or ceramic and I like the look of clay. This one has more vent holes than some of the others as well. It's about the size of a plump coffee mug. The cloves pictured fit easily in the opening, but anything larger would have to be broken up and would probably dry out a little faster. Didn't rate it on cleaning as unless you let a clove rot all you have to do is turn it over and dump out the papery covering... Just sayin".

It's a bit smaller than I expected but it looks great and good for smaller garlic bulbs.

Cute small pot. Only fits about 2 garlic heads and they must be broken apart into cloves because they will not fit whole inside this jar. They also started to grow a green stalk inside the pot but it could have been because it was in a warmer area by my stove. Still serves its purpose and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I love this garlic holder, perfect size, I have it on my counter next to my spices , clay pots are the best, they go with anyone's kitchen style, reasonably priced , easy to Keep clean, soap & water, let it air dry, you won't be disappointed, I know I was surprisingly surprised

My sister was somehow unaware of terra cotta garlic keepers. When she saw mine, I ordered this for her. Mine doesn't have a little stem handle on the lid, and she couldn't be more delighted with hers. Now I'm envious!

I’m still trying to decide whether or not to keep it. The opening is too small to put a head of garlic inside. Not sure why they would design a garlic keeper that won’t allow for a full head of garlic to go inside. Then if you break open the garlic to fit it in, that brings about quicker deterioration of the garlic plus, how does one get their fingers inside to get the cloves out?The quality is good and it looks nice but because of the opening size, i’m still trying to decide whether or not to keep it.
