I ordered this bell in the color listed as “As Shown 1,†which is all black with the words “Ring for a BEER†printed in white twice, once on the front and once on the back. The black paint feels completely smooth and looks flawless. The print looks pretty crisp as well, though it’s not completely bright. The bell portion is metal. The handle is hard plastic that feels sturdy and is comfortable to grip with either my entire hand or with just a couple fingers. Inside, the bell is struck by a black, plastic ball suspended from a length of spring that helps this to produce a nice jingle when jangled. It’s easy to ring this bell, and it produces a good amount of volume at a nice, high pitch. I don’t much care about the silly phrase printed on it, which I might actually paint out, since what I really wanted this for was to keep this bedside for when either my husband or I am sleeping alone while the other is out in the house, in case we need to be waited on without having to get out of bed, and it works perfectly for that, alerting the other in a room across the house with ease.
