This won’t replace the high speed edgers. But it does cut the grooves in the soil so my 20 volt edger can do its job. It was frustrating to edge my yard and every time I hit some soil the edger would stop. But I already had 6 20 volt Dewalt batteries from other purchases so I wanted to try their cordless edger. It works fine but has very little power. Now with the Honda cutting new grooves every year the little cheap edger does a great job making the sidewalks and drive look nice. Get it. It works great for its intended purpose.

The edger was hard to mount on the shaft, I had to apply a little grease. You have to use this attachment pulling the machine in reverse for it to work best taking time to let it dig into the soil a bit. The results are not a clean edge. You should really follow up with your weed Wacker for the sharp look. A commercial type edger with a rotating blade definitely works better giving you that clean cut look and straight lines. Had I known the results of this attachment I probably would have passed on it.Update: after using this attachment a few times it's really not worth the effort. Honda for the first time fell short on this. I probably won't use this attachment again.

After using a little Mantis tiller for years, I finally got frustrated with how hard it was to start and keep running. I bought the Honda FG100 tiller. The Edger kit was my first add-on. This worked better than I had hoped. I left the transport wheels on the back of the tiller. That helped to stabilize it for me. I am most happy this purchase.

Easy to put on and off though as the title states this does not replace a typical straight blade edger. What is does is re-establish an edge along flower beds fairly well. It does not actually cleanly cut grass just cuts a line for and edge quickly (walk backwards with the unit). A trick I used to make a nice raised edge was to use this attachment first then put two of the four cultivating tines on one side of the machine and follow along the side of the edge I wanted to dig out to create the raised edge look. Finally you have to go back over with a rake and weed whacker to trim the edge for a crisp clean look.I wouldn't buy again though but I did manage to figure out a way to use it.

Did the job that was expected and did it well.It would have cost $200+ had I hired it done.So in my book, it paid for itself in one use.

I've owned a Honda FG110 tiller for years and love it. I needed an edger and didn't want to add another piece of machinery to my collection, so I thought the edger attachment would solve that problem. Honda engineers are usually the best in the world, but they missed a major point on this attachment- blade speed. A regular edger blade spins at at least 1000 rpm, while the blade speed for a Honda tiller is no more than 300 rpm. So, instead of the blade skimming the edge of the concrete, it tries to "walk up" on the concrete. It also doesn't make a clean cut. It cuts a nice little trench, but there's still grass sticking out that I have to clean up with my weedeater. Spend your money elsewhere.

Kit does not fit my older FG100 tiller. An edger kit for the FG100 is apparently unavailable at this time.

Read the instructions and this thing will serve you well. Much better than having a whole other machine and especially one with a cord. My only advice is to not run it wide open and to work it forward and backward. You can also angle it towards the inside of your beds to make a decent V-shaped cut. Works good and is built to last. Get it.
