Works flawlessly. I'm able to control my pellet stove with an Ecobee thermostat.

I used this product to convert my millivolt system (Travis Fireplace Xtraordinair gas fireplace + thermostat) for use with the Nest 2nd Generation thermostat. It was super easy. We found the 120v power supply that powered the fireplace, located extra outputs, connected the wires to L1 and L2, intercepted the millivolt lines that ran from the fireplace to the old thermostat and wired them up to X1 and X2 on the relay, and then fed new thermostat cable up to the Nest from terminals R (red), W (white), and C (green) on the relay, plugging into the ports Rh, W1, and C on the nest. Works like a charm! I can now control my fireplace from my smartphone, like a BOSS.Used with this thermostat cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ARZZ418/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is #2. Transformer not only dead, but this seems to be normal for the way these are assembled. I don't think that's supposed to sit like this. Nobody caught it going out the door. Obviously no bench testing or QC. The 63 year old version that this was to replace is still in halfway decent condition. I need a "C" wire for a new ecobee (5). I was able to repurpose a connection on the board for a direct connection from the other side of the transformer. Works Great! It's a genius idea. Too bad they are not made better. After talking with Resideo, the current owners, makers and providers of Honeywell parts, they have no idea that this is happening. Techs are great, but the company needs to wise up.I wish I could find something like this, but made better! Hypersearch time . . .Of which when looking to see if my Circulator was installed correctly I stumbled on a Taco Version, 3 variations, that will do nicely. And I just QC is far better.

The relay fixed the issue of a millivolt system being controlled by a Nest thermostat. Very easy to install.

I purchased this relay box to use with my Nest Thermostat. We have a mountain cabin that has a floor furnace for heat. These furnaces are very "old school", and they do not have any kind of blower system. The heat simply rises from the furnace, which is mounted under the floor. The good thing about these types of furnaces, is that they can operate without any electricity. They only require 2 wires and are not compatible with a Nest thermostat. This box interfaces with the Nest and supplies the 24 VAC that the Nest requires. It also has relays that the Nest operates, which, in turn, turn on or off the furnace. I doubt this box was intended for this purpose, but it works. I can now turn on the heat in the cabin before we get there so it's warm. It typically takes hours for the cabin to heat up in the winter. I really have no clue what this Honeywell box was intended to be used for. If you have a 2 wire heater (furnace), typically called a milli-volt system, you can now control it with a Nest thermostat using this box.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to. Easy to install. Takes a little time to install but not hard to figure out if you have a little electrical knowledge. Otherwise have a professional install it.

First one a received the 24v transfer was snapped off the circuit board bard and rolling around inside the metal enclosure. The 2nd one was DOA. The transformer doesn't look like it's soldered on right and I'm not getting 24v to the board. Returning this as well. Thanks for nothing. Still have no heat in my house after 5 days. Garbage!

Perfect interface between my Nest thermostat and my millivolt furnace. Instructions were weak, but there’s plenty of great guidance online. The best I found called this product a “cheat box” for interfacing an old furnace toa Nest. Sure, you could build something, but this saved so much time and it _works_ that it’s a no brainer.

I have a fan coil unit in my condo. Honeywell Thermostat 110VAC. It has 4 wires. 1 Hot(Black) and 3 to control the fan HI(Brown),MED(Blue), LOW(Red)To get a 24VAC thermostat to work on this system i had to wire the old thermostat so that the original black wire supplying the power was now connected to L1 of this unit L2 I spliced the neutral onto. Then i used the old black wire running to the thermostat which was now cut to allow one end to connect to L1 to connect with N.O. So to make this clear I cut the black wire at the junction box inside the fan coil unit. i connected the end that goes to the panel onto L1 and then spliced the neutral onto L2. using the other end of the black wire which still runs to the thermostat i connected that to N.O. then i ran a new thermostat wire from this controller up to a spot next to the old thermostat and wired it in to the low volt W(T) H(T) C terminals and to the corresponding connections on the back of the new thermostat. on this relay/transformer i had to wire the A to the B to the C using a piece of 14AWG wire. once this is all done when the new thermostat calls for heat or cooling it will trigger the relay which will deliver power to the old thermostat. which you will have set depending on the seasons to either max in the winter or 0 in the summer. and leaving your desired fan speed as is. this way when the thermostat is powered it will activate the fan. once the temperature is reached the relay will close cutting power to your old thermostat and turning off the fan.

I’m using this to bridge my nest thermostat to work with my gas fireplace. Worked great.
