I've had my Honeywell Bionic Face Shield for 20 years. However, when I went to use it recently, the visor seemed a little cloudy. I found these replacement visors/lenses and bought 3. They work great. They have a blue film on them which needs to be removed before installing one in the face shield. They fit perfectly and are extremely clear and easy to see through . Now my face shield is as good as new. the only problem is that they are a little pricey.

Never know how well a replacement will fit, function, or allow for replacement. This fit perfectly, works as well as the original and was easy to replace. Will buy again when this one gets too scratched up.

This is the fifth shield I have ordered and will continue to order. This shield has saved me from face and eye damage multiple time while turning wood on my lathe. I have had bowl shatter while turning at 880 RPM fly right into my face and was very thankful that this shield protected me. Also use it while sanding and using a face mask it really help reduce the amount of clogging the face mask gets while sanding.

Why is the shield green?

Is a replacement lens for your face shield. They are just a thin piece of polycarbonate, and hence should be a little cheaper in price. But they know you need to see out of your faceshield, and if you need one, you need one. So they have you there. But they are clear and seem not to scratch easily, even while sandblasting and grinding. So there is the plus side there. Will have to keep on purchasing them, but they do last quite a long time.

If you are a woodturner and like your teeth/eyes you should always use a face shield. This replacement lens fits like the original and I keep two of these face shields handy. One by my grinders and one by my lathes. The anti-fog and hard coat features are definitely worth the extra cost. I bought the uncoated, non scratch resistant, cheaper version for comparison. It scratches very easily when just cleaned. So, the hard coat is worth the extra money. It lasts much longer.Update- 11/25/20, the entire faceshield is two dollars less than the replacement visor alone.Update 12/28/25, the visors were greatly reduced in price so I bought two. FYI-don't spin something on your lathe after applying CA glue without letting it cure. It will ruin you visor or your glasses if not wearing your faceshield.
