I love everything about it. It is stained black, its edges are smooth and fit together snugly, and it holds a heavy book at just the right angle. It is heavy, real wood and can easily be dismantled when we move. I've made a spare bedroom into a library and this is such a nice addition. I have it holding a large book of Ireland - open to a gorgeous photo - but it would be so pretty with a family bible or other special tome.

This book stand is a staple on my coffee table. I added the Art Of Home by Shea McGee on it. It’s sturdy and looks like a piece that should be on a table in Pottery Barn!

I gave four stars because I wish the stand was larger. Most of my coffee table books I used this for are very large. This works, but I wish it were bigger. I like the dark wood material…it looks like real wood. Super easy to snap together and use immediately. For the money, it’s nice.

It's a very lovely accent piece - the weight of it stands testament that it is solid wood, painted with a dark, espresso finish (think as in black or just a shade or two away from black.) It comes in two pieces that you quickly and easily insert together, with no adhesive or glue or screws needed. When assembled, it's ready to go!It's as wide as advertised, and between its solidity and secure shape, is able to hold extremely weighty books - I used it to display a monumentally heavy book (which is a good 5-10 lbs) I have on Clan Tartans to display the page of my family's tartan! It is a beautiful addition to my display bookcase, though I can also see it as a great accessory to sideboards, foyer tables, or night tables.

Je suis ravie de partager mon avis sur ce porte livre en bois massif.Points positifs :✅ Bien emballé et protégé.✅ Excellente qualité, ce porte livre est bien lourd.✅ Les finitions sont top.Points négatifs:⌠C'était un peu difficile de trouver le bon sens pour le monter, au final il fallait juste forcer un peu.Je recommande si vous cherchez un porte livre solide et de qualité.

Good well built stand that can hold substantial coffee table type books of significant weight securely. Absolutely solidly but simply built. Using it as a rest for ‘ ordinary ‘ books now as it is so comfy at my desk. Should have bought one years ago. Highly recommended.
