The band stretched and went to the bottom remove debris that got caught. The roller came off super easy. When I bought the vacuum new every time I did this the roller was always a pain to remove because how tightly the band was. I will try a different seller.

We only had to buy this part (and several others) because the Hoover Commercial vacuum we got, which broke within a couple weeks, Amazon replaced, is a piece of junk. The second one died within 3 years, and it wasn't used for a year and a half due to covid.
