I read the earlier reviews and ordered this in spite of some negative reviews. I'm glad I did - it's darling! And it's not too noisy and if you leave the tape on the battery box, there's no worries about the batteries falling out (I was prewarned so knew to look closely at it). It makes me laugh - hopefully it will make the little girl I bought it for laugh as well.

I bought the cow. The sound is way too loud and has no adjustment. Also the moo isn't the greatest.

It is cute , but louder than i thought would be. Wish there was an option to not have sound if turn it on. Also, don't leave unattended around pets; I can imagine it ripping the material off this.
