The Hosa LTE503 is used to discretely illuminate a mixing console in a live sound setting. The Hosa Lite LED console lamp delivers warm, diffused light that is bright enough to work by-without causing eyestrain. It features four white LEDs and two red LEDs for accurate color illumination. The new Hosa-Lite is highly efficient, providing more light while requiring less energy. As an LED lighting solution, the Hosa Lite operates at cool temperatures-facilitating adjustment without the risk of burning one's fingers. Further, it complies with all international lighting and energy regulations. The Hosa-Lite's flexible gooseneck design offers functionality wherever a 12 Volt BNC or XLR light socket is available. The Hosa-Lite is durable and features long-lasting LEDs that make replacing light bulbs a distant memory. The Hosa-Lite is a must-have lighting accessory.

I purchased two of these lights for use on our Peavey mixing board at our church. Occasionally we have need of using the mixer with all the other lights off. This seemed like a good way to cast light on the board without throwing light into the rest of the sanctuary. Both lights fit just fine and worked with our board. My major complaint is that the LEDs throw somewhat of a focused beam of light that doesn't spread very wide. Even with two lights, they didn't give full coverage to a 24 channel board. It's not a huge deal to move them, but in real darkness, some of the channels would be difficult to see. I have found them to be bright enough, but it would be nice if they had a little bit wider beam spread. I've tried some DIY fixes to widen and soften the light spread, but nothing has done a great job. All in all, it gives us enough light to work by, but it could be better. The other issue (that may not be a problem with the lights themselves) is that we get hot spots of glare on parts of the board. That may just have to do with the slightly shiny paint on our board, but I thought I'd mention it in case it might help others. Overall, we've kept the lights and it is definitely better than what we had.

I bought this to light up a 24 channel Soundcraft digital board. It works fine. As many have said, the beam of light is narrow and on this board doesn't light up much more than a 8-10 inch circle of light. The narrow beam would be okay if it was a bit longer and could be placed higher (so the light could expand), but then it might not be bright enough. And at over $20, I still feel like I paid more than I should have. But it works fine for the setup I bought it for as it is flexible/movable and can be positioned where light is needed most.Anyway, I'd recommend this for a 24 channel or smaller digital board (that has some light of it's own). But not for an analog situation where this would be the only source of light. And it does seem to be the cheapest option for a BNC LED light (even thought it's overpriced in itself).

They say you get what you pay for. Not here. Even though this lamp is cheap, it's still way overpriced. The lights are far too wimpy to light up much more than a CD turntable. To make matters worse, it came with 6 wimpy LEDs and 3 of mine didn't come on at all. Do NOT buy this lamp.I have since paid up for the Littlite 12-G-LED to replace it with. More than twice the price, but more than 4 times the light. I can actually light up my 24-channel mixer from end-to-end and top-to-bottom with some light left over.I tried to save some money with the HOSA lamp, and ended up just costing myself time and effort. You will regret purchasing this amateur lamp. Go with the Littlite or some other.

The quality is poor. The light itself is too dim and you can't really see that much. The connection to the board is loose and it doesn't stay where it's supposed to be. More of a pain to keep dealing with.

Love it! Bright enough for may 16 track board. Easy on eyes and if I need to adjust the rotating head, it's cool to touch.
