Simple design has way less failure modes compared to fancy-shmancy dial-a-pattern hose nozzles, which end up leaking/clogging after a few years. This design goes back decades and is plenty good enough for basic applications.

Good quality. Never beat the old fashion garden hose nozzle. Dependable and reliable compared to other plastic nozzles with several options but don’t last long.

These are hose nozzles are all metal and work well. Many similar nozzles I have use a black plastic palm actuator which is frequently the first thing to fail and since they are riveted on are non repairable. The threaded end on these nozzles also seals better than some others which is important if you want to use a shower head diffuser for delicate plants close up. The only downside seems to be the finger grip ridges are too pronounced and uncomfortable, but nothing a glove or a piece of sponge tie wrapped to the handle won't fix.
