This is super fun, great for a get-together party. Easy to set up and we can use both sections of the device at the same time. The hot pot for veggies and the grill for meat. Perfect and delicious. This is an awesome idea and design. The pot has a pretty decent size. Easy to assemble and ready to understand the instructions. I am enjoying using this hot pot. It is such a fun way to party and get together.

I gave four stars because electrical wattage. I knew it was high but could improve wattage issues.

I LOVE IT! Before I ordered this I didn't even know what Hot Pot was 😠but I looked at some videos and then had to have this! Before it even got here, I had my menu and shopping list all planned, and just couldn't wait to put it to use.We got to test it out this weekend, dinner for three: Thinly sliced my meats (pork, chicken, and lamb) and also had some shrimp on hand to throw on the grill. I had a recipe for the savory hot pot and I'd ordered some base for the spicy hot pot, and everything went together very quickly, actually. I almost forgot to throw on the noodles to cook, but they only took a few minutes, so no harm done.I did have to run an extension cord, no big deal. This heats up VERY fast, so when you put your hot pot in to bring them to a simmer, while you prep your veggies, keep a close eye on them: I left the room for a couple of minutes, and when I came back in they were at a full rolling boil, so the hot mixed in a bit with the savory. Oops! Lesson learned. It was really fun for dinner for three, toss in whatever veggies you want, let them boil while your meat cooks, and then pull everything off and serve it over rice or noodles. So very good. The spicy hot pot base makes a broth that is sooo hot. I like it hot, but no one else can handle it that hot, so next time I'll use half the block. My husband cooked his veggies in the savory broth, and then spooned just a bit of the spicy broth over his when it was all done. This comes with two nice stainless steel ladles, one with strainer, and a silicone brush (I used this to brush oil on the grilling surface), and some nice stainless steel tongs. As for the hot pot and grill itself, the controls are very easy to use, and the pot and grill are both very responsive, heat very quickly, and the grill section cooks meats and grills vegetables beautifully. I've never seen more beautiful shrimp! We really had alot of fun with this, and I've already made plans to use this next time we get together with family next month, for a group of 5-6, and will do it a little different, because it's a bit of a process learning how to do this optimally but it's just so fun. I also want to try it for fondue. It does take up some space (I'm storing this in the basement in a big box) but it's totally worth it.âââââ

...but made me realize that we don't often grill and make hot pot at the same time as it's too much multi-tasking. Plus, constantly reaching over the hot grill to reach into the hot pot to grab food can make for a painful experience (unless you give each diner a glove to protect them from oil/fat spattering).Instead, we use the hot pot space to make ramen at the end. Or kimchi and doenjang jjigae, side by side as we don't have to do much tending to them. The stews stay nice and hot. And we provide small bowls for servings so that there is no need to reach over the grill portion! This comfortably feeds a family of five. Any more than that, I feel like it'd be a little crowded.

I was really excited to try this out and really hoped it would work. It was easy to set up and attach the parts. I did use both sections of the device. The grill part worked well and we had no problem getting veggies and meats to cook properly. The separate hot pot sections was nice since I was able to use two different broths. I was able to get meat and veggies to cook properly in the hot pot as well. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and was made even better since clean up was super easy. The grill pan/hot pot area just lifts off. I will definitely be using it again.

I love this hot pot, I really do. I'm just not so sure that it would comfortably serve 8 people? It's not necessarily that it's small - it's actually generous enough in size that I still haven't quite figured out where it's going to be stored when not in use, because it's too big to fit into any of my cabinets... 8 just seems like a lot of people to crowd around though, reaching over each other to get to their one modest section of the grill and/or coordinating turns in the pots. I really can't say for sure, because I haven't tried it with 8 people yet; but I do know it's nice for my family of 4 because we all have time/space to cook our food without disturbing what anyone else has going on.The appliance itself is nice. Like I said, pretty decent in size, which is great for using, but not so great for storing. It's easy enough to assemble and learn how to use, especially if you take one minute to read the instructions and then play around with it a bit. It cooks pretty much as you'd expect a hot pot and electric grill to. It comes with a small pamphlet-type "recipe book", but it's really nothing to get excited about - pretty redundant and not exact recipes to follow. You'd be just as well to use your own recipes or do a search online for full recipes. When done using, it's just as easy to take apart for cleaning (which is kind of convenient because of the non-stick surface, but also a bit of a pain because of the size/weight). One small detail though, is that there's a hole on one side of the grill, with a drip-pan to catch grease that's been cooked off. Sounds great, in theory; but in its execution, it falls juuust short of being an awesome feature... When you remove the cooking surface and drip-pan to clean everything, you'll find that there's just the smallest bit of the cooking base that the grease has to pass through, and it takes an extra (kind of annoying) minute to have to carefully clean that part with a tiny brush and then dry it out.Overall, despite the sizing issues, I think this is a great product if you're in the market for this specific type of cooking appliance... however, if you're not, and/or if you don't plan to use this much, it may not be worth the investment because it really does take up a lot of space.
