I was taking a chance on this since the only photo I could find anywhere was of the top cover. Happy to say that this is full stainless container. I had previously purchased one of those plastic, multi-compartment devices for adding salt, sugar, etc. to glass rims. The plastic item is huge and a pain to use (unless you are actually running a bar). This Houdini salt rimmer is just the perfect size for use at home and the lid allows you to use it as storage as well. I've attached a photo so others can see what this looks like open.

Looks much nicer than the plastic one we had before. Gets dirty easily but also wipes clean very easily. Holds plenty of salt for your adult beverages! Happy with purchase!

Used it once and a few drops lime that were left in it became completely rusty after a few weeks. The rust spread and became large patches. It's meant to have wet glass touch it and you can't dry salt fully, it should be stainless steel.
