Well-made, high quality. I use them in a pair of leather cowboy boots from Freebirds - first to help stretch the calves a little, now to retain their shape when I’m not wearing them. Why spend hundreds on my boots if I’m not going to take care of them properly? I wear a size 6. Bought the 12†and the trees stretch the calves if I insert them all the way down.

I love this product. It arrived very well made and smelled amazing. I needed this to store my tall dressage boots when I am not using them. I got the 14 for my tall boots and they fit perfectly. I appreciate the metal knobs for easy of use. The only problem I had was a crack on the outside of the wood that I was not happy about. See last photo of said crack.

I use these for my riding boots and they get the job done. I took my boots to the cobbler and he was impressed with the boot tree quality. Good value, works as promised, and has helped my boots maintain their shape. Highly recommend

getting old and now disabled so the boots sit more than they used tothese keep them fresh and the shape like when new

I purchased this product to stretch the boot shaft over my calf. The box did not contain very many instructions. There is one tiny little card in there that has three bullet points on how to use the product and it was not very helpful or elaborate. I can’t get the two cedar pieces to remain rigid. They keep flapping together, the instructions say to spin the little gold knobs on the top counter clockwise to widen the gap, and when you do that they unscrew and come off! Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

UPDATE: Seller has reached out to make me whole. Definitely a first class move and proof the seller is top-notch.Even at the max distance, it is too narrow to put any real stretch on the leather.I’ll try to find a same-sized screw at the hardware store to make them work.The wood seems decent and sturdy, it’s just the width isn’t sufficient.

But they are expensive and, as it turns out, they are WAY too tall for my boots. They are supposed to work with the brand's boot shoe trees, which I have, but the shoe trees are already tall to begin with. They might work with lower shoe trees. Be sure to note the height!

Honestly, I bought this product based off ONE review I read on this page. As soon as they mentioned “stretched the calf†I immediately bought it. I was hunting down a cobbler to see if they were able to stretch my leather boots so it was easier to zip up AND have the calf area not as tight. Seems like cobblers don’t like or want to take on this job as none got back to me.Before those who say “learn to get a bigger size so it fits†clearly don’t understand body proportions. I always get shoes that fit my feet size but I have thicker calves. My feet are 4.5-5 so shall I buy a size 7-8 just so my calves will fit? Wrong. I’ve had leather boots that were a 6 and I still couldn’t zip them up.These were excellent and I can expand them really really far and the quality is great and the smell to me is quite strong. I’ll see after a few days and try on the boots and if I am able to zip up WHILE wearing jeans. I would praise endlessly to the company who created such an excellent product. This product is the best of both worlds in keeping the shape as well as being able to stretch materials.

Impossible to shove the 2 pieces of wood into the boots, then cannot pull the front piece of wood up. Have left them in for 1 week (after getting help in shoving in), boot leg does not appear any bigger.

The product is made for flat boots and I had heel, so it didn’t feel quite well. However, I will use papers for the bottom and still use it for the calves part and see how it goes
