My son really likes this hoverboard. It goes pretty far on a charge, and is quick enough for him both inside and outside. Charges easy, looks nice, has colored lights on the wheels and is easy to use. What more could you ask?

I always expect a few negative reviews out of hundreds, because somebody is BOUND to get a defective product eventually. When my husband was researching hover boards with our 12-year-old, he saw the reviews on this one complaining about the uncontrollable spin, but dismissed them as aberrations among hundreds of positive reviews.That was a big mistake.We received ours on Friday, and then it rained all weekend so it only got used very slowly up and down our hall. It was easy to use and seemed to work well. On Monday morning our daughter was on it indoors when it started to spin, but she was able to quickly step off and turn it off. A few hours later it dried up enough to use outside. She was going faster this time when the machine went into a spin she couldn't correct, and was thrown off and now has a broken arm.This was when I discovered that five of the top 6 reviews report this dangerous problem, all in the last six months. Reading further brings the total up to 7 out of the first 12--that's where I stopped counting. It appears that my husband sorted reviews by stars rather than just starting at the top, and therefore didn't realize how many of the recent reviews report the same problem.Our mistake, so please don't let it be yours. Even when we return the defective hover board, we've now spent more in medical bills for a broken bone than we did on this unpredictable device. Plus our daughter saved up for a long time for something she now refuses to use again. I realize that a hover board has an inherent danger but this wasn't misuse, this was a dangerous malfunction that has been documented before.

It was great it arrived in two days! I wasn't sure it would be good for my nine-year-old for his birthday, but it was! he was so worried that he would not be able to ride it but when he stepped on it, he just cruised all over the place. he fell once he got back up and was fine and the hover board was not what made him fall, he tripped over a stick. I definitely recommend this hoverboard for 8+ it was great for the price and great alone!
