I have two mismatched screens I used with my previous PC, one of them however only used DVI cables, which rendered it useless when I got my new PC which has no DVI outputs. I dreaded the thought of having to buy a new monitor, then I found this adapter and it solved my dilemma. Now I'm able to use both of my screens again, which is crucial for multi-tasking while working on projects.All I had to do was attach the DVI cable from the monitor into the adapter, then plug the adapter into the PC, and it worked perfectly. Picture is crisp and clear, colors and framerate aren't hindered at all in any way. The only thing I had to do was change some minor settings, which only took a couple of seconds (Made it so the taskbar only shows up on the main monitor, and adjusted a program called Wallpaper Engine to make it so it'd run on both screens.).All in all, a great purchase which saved me a ton of money. Very simple to use.

I have an older monitor that's still working just fine, and this thing was a godsend. Plug and play, and you're all set. That's exactly what you want in something like this.

I believe that the cable can be shorter but works OK when you have legacy monitors to jibe with the latest computers that now come in with display ports.

I had a big presentation at my job and needed to get a Display Port to DVI connector fast. This came quickly and it works phenomenally. The picture quality is excellent.If I ever need to buy another, I would buy this one again! Great for the price. Excellent quality in picture.

I had an old dell monitor that i wanted to use as a second display, but it only has DVI and VGA. My work laptop only has displayport. I bought this adapter because i had an old DVI cable, and this was only $5. Works perfectly, plug and play, and detected my monitors native resolution. You do not need an HP display or computer, in case you were wondering
