Printer cartridges didn't work when installed. Contacted HP Support. They identified I needed a new print head and were sending me a new part. That was 6 weeks ago. Still no part and no resolution in sight despite numerous calls to HP Support team. Next time I'll buy another brand.

This printer does a great job of printing but increasingly it loses the wire connection, several times in a workday. I send a print command and get the message “looking for printer†and find that the wireless connection is lost— again. This has become so frustrating and damaging to my workflow that I have ordered a printer cable.

I bought this printer during covid and it works great. Everything works well and the colors are vivid. However, the downside of this printer is the cost of the ink. It cost $122 to replace the black and the colored ink. I have tried buying a no brand ink, and HP tries to monopolize on the ink by having a chip on each ink cartridge which tells the machine whether it is an HP cartridge or not. If it is not an HP cartridge, HP will completely disable the machine (printer,scanner, fax etc.) and won’t work again until a legitimate HP cartridge is installed! They have had class action lawsuits because of their monopolizing strategies.At this point it makes more sense buying a new printer that does not charge such a hefty price for ink. Buying ink is almost as costly as buying a new all in one printer!I am forever boycotting HP printers because of this!

I have owned this printer for three years. While the printer itself does reliable work as far as a printer of this price range does, the functionality of HP products require you to use HP Smart app which has mixed results. The app requires a connection to the internet to use, will not work with ink sourced anywhere other than HP (HP ink is usually more expensive than other inks), and the support to fix any of the many bugs, errors or issues involved with using the app go un-fixed despite uproar from the community that is stuck using these products due to this hostile entrapment and monopolization from their HP Smart infrastructure. The HP Smart app shows that the printer is offline to some devices in my network and online to others at the same time. It is unreliable and buggy. In addition, raising complaints on the HP community website only appear to be read or noticed by fellow customers and not HP itself. It truly feels like a trap having paid for this expensive printer when there are so many bugs using the software that the product becomes unusable.
